Join the celebration! The 61st Annual Newport Loyalty Days & Sea Fair Festival takes place from May 4-7, 2017. This year's jam-packed schedule will offer something for everyone.
Originally started in the late 1930s to boost tourism with a free Dungeness crab dinner, the Newport Loyalty Days & Sea Fair Festival has evolved to include a traditional hometown parade, numerous Veterans and Active Duty tributes/celebrations - including the annual "Reading of the Names" and the Traveling Oregon Memorial Wall, a Loyalty Days & Sea Fair Festival Court and Queen's Coronation, the popular Davis Shows Northwest Family Carnival and many other activities.More Info
Gray whales are visible from Oregon’s shore nearly year-round, but two weeks every year are special! The winter and spring Whale Watch Weeks along the Oregon coast are recognized as some of the best opportunities to view the annual gray whale migration anywhere in the world. Join us as we watch around 20,000 gray whales swim along our shores!
Volunteers from the Whale Watching Spoken Here program come from throughout the United States and spread out across 24 sites up and down the Oregon coast to help people see and learn about these magnificent ocean travelers. Last year more than 30,000 visitors were assisted by WWSH volunteers in just 13 days!
